Stratton, Cornwall, UK
Eight substantial homes with the grace and elegance of a bygone age.
Old Drovers Way is set within the tranquil and particularly pretty town of Stratton, with a friendly and intimate atmosphere more traditionally associated with an English village.
Originally part of the grounds of an imposing manor house, the development now comprises eight select homes each with its own individual character. Surrounding the homes are thoughtfully landscaped gardens retaining many of the original trees of oak, chestnut, sycamore, birch and ash. The sylvan setting is further enhanced by the walls of amber and silver-grey Cornish stone which surround each home.
A particular feature of the internal structure of these luxury homes is the fusion of traditional styles with new materials and techniques. Nowhere is this more elegantly and impressively portrayed than through the use of massive exposed beams, employing construction techniques known since Tudor times.
